MEDIA ADVISORY - Ujjal Dosanjh to speak November 17 to South Asian Bar

TORONTO, Nov. 15 /CNW/ - The Hon. Ujjal Dosanjh, Member of Parliament for Vancouver South, is the keynote speaker at the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto's Annual Dinner and Awards night on November 17, 2010. There will be a brief opportunity for media to interview Mr. Dosanjh between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Mr. Dosanjh practised law in Vancouver from 1979 until entering provincial politics and returned to the profession after serving as Premier of British Columbia from 2000 to 2001. He entered federal politics in 2004 when he was elected Member of Parliament for Vancouver South.
The South Asian Bar Association of Toronto is a network of over 200 South Asian lawyers in law firms around the GTA. "We are very honoured to have Mr. Dosanjh give us the benefit of his experience as a lawyer of South Asian origin practising in Canada," notes SABA's president, Sudevi Mukherjee-Gothi, a partner at Torkin Manes LLP.
