Media Invitation - The Quebec Branch of The Kidney Foundation of Canada to release results of an economic study on the direct and indirect benefits of kidney transplantation Français
MONTREAL, Nov. 5, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Kidney Foundation of Canada - Quebec Branch invites the media to the unveiling of the results of a Study on the Economics of Kidney Failure.
This information session will apprise journalists of the costs associated with dialysis, kidney transplantation's direct and indirect economic benefits to our health system, and the associated social costs. As the population ages and the incidence of diabetes increases, kidney failure numbers continue to climb. If every patient currently awaiting a kidney were to receive a transplant today, the healthcare system would save $50 million a year.
