CALGARY, Nov. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Benefit programs are considered essential incentives to attract, increase and retain the best employees. Yet, employer-sponsored benefits now cost more than $7,000 per full-time employee and have been growing by up to 10 per cent annually in recent years.

At the Benefits Summit West 2012 event, The Conference Board of Canada will present the findings of its survey among 360 medium and large-size Canadian organizations on employer-sponsored benefit programs. This event will also provide tips on how companies can contain the escalating costs of benefits while attracting and keeping top talent.

	From Providing Benefits to Enhancing Wellness—Tailoring Benefits and Wellness to Your Employees Brian Lindenberg, Senior Partner of Health and Benefits at Mercer, will share tips on how companies can target benefits and wellness programs within their workforce. 11:30 a.m.
	Care Giving and Work—The Next Big Challenge for HR and Benefits Donna S. Lero, Jarislowsky Chair in Families and Work of the Centre for Families, Work and Well-Being at the University of Guelph and Nora Spinks, Chief Executive Officer at the Vanier Institute of the Family, will discuss the impact of caregiving on working people and their employers. 12:15 p.m.
