Electronic Recycling Association identity fraud prevention event
CALGARY, Nov. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - The Electronic Recycling Association announces an identity fraud prevention event, to be held at its warehouse location in Calgary. Computer and Laptop hard drives, cell phones, usb memory sticks, and any data devices can be brought to the ERA warehouse on Tuesday November 26th, 2013 for free secure destruction.
The ERA will have on site 3 of its mobile hard drive shredders, as well as several manual hard drive shredders, to destroy hard drives and data devices.
Data protection and identify fraud prevention is a serious issue in the digital age, and the ERA wishes to help educate everyone in various ways to protect your digital information and footprints. Data stored on old computers, laptops, cell phones, usb sticks, ipods, ipads, can be accessed and misused. ERA can help you erase or destroy the data, while possibly retaining the computers, laptops and other devices for further use by charities and non profit organizations.
The Electronic Recycling Association is a non profit organization, with a focus on reuse and recycling of used computers, laptops, servers, cell phones, and other electronics across Alberta and elsewhere. The ERA provides refurbished computers to charities, non profits, elderly, individuals on AISH and welfare at no charge. The address is 1301 34th Avenue SE, Calgary.
