Ontario Principals' Council wins national award

TORONTO , Oct. 6 /CNW/ - The professional magazine for Ontario's public school principals and vice-principals, The Register, has received a prestigious Bravo! Award of Distinction from the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education (CACE).

The Bravo! Awards is an annual awards program that showcases Canada's finest work in the field of education communications and provides the opportunity to be recognized by fellow members and colleagues. This recognition for The Register follows a number of other awards for the magazine from the Canadian Business Press (CBP) and the Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI).

"It is an honour to be recognized by a national organization whose primary role is communications within the education community," said Doug Morrell , President of OPC. "We strive to provide Ontario's school leaders with outstanding professional development products and services, and this award acknowledges the quality of our efforts."

The Ontario Principals' Council (OPC) publishes The Register magazine quarterly. The OPC is a voluntary professional association representing over 5,000 principals and vice-principals in Ontario's public elementary and secondary schools. Established in 1998, the OPC advocates on behalf of public education and provides professional supports to its Members. In 2011, the OPC will host the 10th International Confederation of Principals World Convention in Toronto .
