WorldServe Ministries Announces New President for its Canadian Ministry
WHITE ROCK, BC, Oct 1 /CNW/ - WorldServe Ministries is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Stephen Wile as the president of WorldServe Canada, effective October 1, 2010.
Dr. Wile comes to the organization from the position of Deputy Executive Director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse of Canada. He is an ordained pastor of the C&MA and has held pastorates. He is educated not only in theology, with a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, but also holds a Doctor of Education from Seattle University.
"His professional and ministry background is extensive and Dr. Wile's commitment to the Lord and to the ministry of WorldServe is unquestionable," said Dr. Ted Yamamori, president and CEO of WorldServe, who will remain the CEO of WorldServe Canada for the next year, enabling Dr. Wile to smoothly transition into the role of president and CEO of the Canadian ministry.
Dr. Wile will be the fourth president of WorldServe Ministries, an organization founded by Dr. Garth Hunt in 1976 as Living Bibles International.
For over 30 years, WorldServe Ministries has worked hard to reach people groups across the globe, bringing the Good News to those in desperate need.
Today, WorldServe Ministries continues to support the indigenous church around the world, specializing in transformational development. With a special emphasis on China, Cuba and Ethiopia WorldServe empowers indigenous churches and church leaders to advance the gospel and impact nations.
