Morningstar Announces Date of the 16th Annual Canadian Investment Awards.
TORONTO, Oct 4 /CNW/ - Morningstar Research Inc., a Canadian subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. (Nasdaq: MORN), today announced that the 16th annual Canadian Investment Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. This year, CBC's chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge will host the awards ceremony, which is dedicated to honouring those companies and individuals that through superior investment products, service, marketing and education have made a difference in the lives of investors. Morningstar acquired the awards event in December 2009 and is introducing several enhancements including state-of-the-art stage production, live music, a more streamlined awards lineup, and an elegant sit-down dinner integrated with the awards ceremony.

This year, Morningstar Research has partnered with MusiCounts, the Canadian music-education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the nationally televised JUNO Awards. MusiCount's mission is to provide students with access to comprehensive music programs in Canadian schools. A portion of the proceeds from submission-based awards will be donated to MusiCounts.
The Canadian Investment Awards attracts more than 600 guests annually from across the investment industry.
