Condominium Professionals to attend the 14th Annual ACMO/CCI-T Conference
MARKAM, ON, Oct 7 /CNW/ - The Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario and Canadian Condominium Institute - Toronto Area Chapter, will be hosting the 14th Annual ACMO/CCI Conference on November 5th and 6th, 2010 at the Hilton Suites, Toronto/Markham Conference Centre & Spa, ON. This year's conference theme is: Directions for a New Decade: Staying Ahead of the Curve! and a fantastic line up of topics and speakers has been planned. Twelve educational sessions will cover everything from Fixing Broken Communities and Building Healthy Neighbourhoods to Building Responsible Digital Communities. Round table discussions will offer a smaller group setting to discuss a wide range of topics with the experts in the Industry. The conference will close with the Annual Condo Law Update Supersession.
A conference highlight will be this year's keynote speaker, Major-General (ret'd) Lewis MacKenzie, one of the world's most respected peacekeepers!
The Annual ACMO / CCI - Toronto Joint Conference draws over 600 professional condominium managers and condominium boards of directors, as well as key members from the building and service trades. The educational program is comprehensive in nature and this event is known to be the premier condominium event in Ontario.
The Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) is the leading association for condominium management in Ontario and was formed in 1977. Its member managers are responsible for a very significant segment of the GTA's condominium communities. ACMO's goals include advancement of the quality and performance of condominium property managers and management companies. The Association has a well-established education program offered through recognized community colleges which results in the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) professional designation. The ACMO 2000 company certification compares favourably with all quality management standards used internationally.
The Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) was formed in 1982 and has chapters across Canada, including a very active Toronto Chapter. CCI focuses on condominium issues for the benefit of condominium corporations, residents, professionals and trade service suppliers. The goal of CCI is to promote a strong condominium community through education and information dissemination, and communication with all levels of government with a view to continuously improving condominium communities.
