NOBEL PRIZE WINNER TO DISCUSS NUCLEAR PROLIFERATION, ENERGY SECURITY AND
MID-EAST STABILITY AT GALA DINNER
CALGARY, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - The School of Public Policy and the Canada School of Energy and Environment is pleased to welcome Nobel Prize Winner Mohamed ElBaradei to Calgary.
Winner of the Nobel Prize for work done to prevent nuclear proliferation, and President Obama's lead negotiator with Iran, ElBaradei will kick off The Nexen Global Roundtable on Energy Security at a gala dinner on October 12th at 7:30pm at the Hyatt Hotel at 700 Centre Street SE Calgary, Canada. Dr. Elbaradei's address to Calgary academic and business leaders is open to media.
In advance of the dinner, Dr. ElBaradei will join Dr. Jack Mintz at a brief press conference to discuss the issues of nuclear proliferation, conflict and energy security at 2:30 p.m. on October 12th at the Hyatt Hotel at 700 Centre Street SE Calgary, Canada in the Walker Room.
The Nexen Global Roundtable is an in camera meeting of leading international experts on energy security for a day long meeting to address this critical issue. The Roundtable conference will be held in Calgary on October 13th. Details on media availability of participants to follow.
