Pantalone's Mayor Burger in the Lead!
TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - The Duke Pubs Mayor Burger promotion, which began on Monday, October 4th, urges citizens of Toronto to put their vote where their mouth is and choose their favourite mayoral candidate by ordering one of four Mayor Burgers.
The results from the first week are in!
Currently in first place, we have Joe Pantalone's Cricket Chicken Burger at 197. Back Joe and his bid to make Toronto a global cricket destination with this Indian-inspired burger: a naan bread bun, tandoori chicken breast and yogurt raita.
Rocco Rossi's Toronto Jobs Mini Banquet Burger Trio is a fairly close second with 178 sold so far. Support Rocco's plan to create more jobs by giving our chefs three times the work: Three mini burgers with bacon and cheddar cheese.
George Smitherman's Something for Everyone Burger isn't too far behind in third place, at 163 burgers sold last week. If you like it, George is for it! Show your support with this cheese loaded burger: Swiss, cheddar and blue cheese plus bacon, mushrooms and onions.
Rob Ford's Basic Burger has a lot of ground to cover, with 85 burgers sold thus far. The Ford burger is simple, straightforward and exactly what you think. Put Rob in office with this budget burger: Duke Burger with lettuce, tomato and a pickle.
Is your favourite Mayor Burger in the lead? Don't wait to vote! We'll announce the winning Mayor Burgers when the polls close.
