Innovative Composites Named Finalist of the Building Back Better Communities
Initiative for Haiti

- Consortium believes the estimated $4 billion(1) project to be awarded to 6-10 finalists

TORONTO, Oct. 13 /CNW/ - Innovative Composites International Inc. (IC:TSX-V) ("I C I" the "Company"), is pleased to announce that it has been named a finalist of the Building Back Better Communities ("B B B C") housing competition for Haiti. ICI has entered the housing competition in a consortium ("Consortium") with its partners 3D Global Solutions and Barclays Gedi Group, both privately held US companies.

Project organizers have requested and the Consortium has submitted detailed information as to the capabilities to build at scale. Specifically, ICI has confirmed that it has the ability to deliver 5,000+ housing units annually and has provided fabrication, delivery and assembly schedules. In addition, the Consortium has provided details on how it intends to involve local labour in the delivery and assembly of the housing units and how the design of the units will reflect Haitian architectural and cultural traditions. Based on the response the selection committee will develop a recommended list of preferred housing suppliers for submission to the Government of Haiti and the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission.

Consortium representatives will take part in the Expo Conference on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 of October in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The Expo Conference will provide a networking forum to meet representatives of the Government of Haiti, community leaders, Haitian architects and designers and the BBBC organizers. Haitian and international media will be invited to attend the Expo Conference.
