Access Dental Is Hosting a Free Day of Dentistry with 'Dentistry From The
Heart'

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB, Oct. 27 /CNW/ - Dr. Perica Nonkovic is out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as he hosts the latest event for 'Dentistry From The Heart' (DFTH) on Oct. 30, 2010.

The media is invited to join Dr. Nonkovic and his team of dentists and volunteers to help 100 people in need of dental work - treating patients in need of fillings, extractions and cleanings.  Over the years Access Dental has helped many patients, but this event will be their first public charity event under the 'Dentistry from the Heart' Banner.

Dentistry from the Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission - making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a Dr. Vincent Monticciolo in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans alone lack dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn't an option for many of the uninsured. To date, DFTH has helped more than 26,000 patients and provided over $5.7 million in dental care.

"Now more than ever, I know people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them - whether they're out of a job, or just don't have dental insurance. Dentistry From The Heart is my way of giving back to the community, and helping people who are in need of dental work," said Dr. Nonkovic.

The event will take place on Oct. 30, at Access Dental - Unit 100-9803-101 Ave., Grande Prairie. Starting at 8:30 AM, Dr. Nonkovic and his volunteers will treat the first 100 patients, or however many they can service by 5:00 PM. Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that offers free dental work for people who need it.
