The Toronto Argonauts serve Thanksgiving Dinner for The Salvation Army this Friday
TORONTO, Oct. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - On Friday, October 5, 2012, the Toronto Argonauts will partner once again with The Salvation Army to serve a community dinner for more than 600 at The Salvation Army Toronto Harbour Light Ministries, 160 Jarvis Street, Toronto starting at 3:00 p.m.
This year's event marks the 15th anniversary of the partnership between the Toronto Argonauts and The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army would like to recognize the Argonauts for their continued dedication and support in helping serve meals to the marginalized of our community.
"The Salvation Army Harbour Light is delighted that the Argos are continuing to partner with us and helping with our efforts to reach out to the community by providing and serving this Thanksgiving meal," said Major Roy Snow, Executive Director for the Toronto Harbour Light Ministries.
"The Salvation Army's mission has always been to provide for those who are in great need," said Major John Murray, Spokesperson for The Salvation Army. "We are thankful to the Toronto Argonauts for their partnership in helping us give hope and dignity.
