Two visions of America on the eve of the U.S. elections
MONTREAL, Oct. 9, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the press are invited to the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal business luncheon as part of the Bell International Leaders series on Thursday, October 11 at noon. During the luncheon, Joseph P. Kennedy II and George P. Bush will debate the economic stakes of the upcoming American election and its possible impact on Quebec and its businesses.
Joseph P. Kennedy II, nephew of the 35th American president, John F. Kennedy, and member of the United States House of Representatives for 12 years, and George P. Bush, nephew of the 43rd American president, George W. Bush, and deputy finance chair of the Republican Party of Texas, both heirs to the largest American presidential dynasties, represent the Democratic and Republican camps respectively.
The debate will be moderated by the Honourable Michael M. Fortier, vice chairman of RBC Capital Markets.
The debate will be preceded by a seminar on business opportunities: "Perspectives and Tools to Succeed in the United States in 2012," starting at 8 a.m. Five specialists on the United States, including John Parisella, former Quebec delegate general in New York, and Robert Hogue, senior economist at RBC, will discuss strategic issues for trade with our neighbours to the south.
