MONTREAL, Oct. 30, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Desjardins Business Luncheon ‒ Business Voices of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at noon. On this occasion, the Université du Québec à Montréal's rector, Mr. Claude Corbo, will be the guest speaker. This business luncheon will take the form of an interview conducted by Mr. Bernard Derome, leading figure in Quebec television news.
The UQAM rector's conference will focus on the importance of university research in increasing the city's competitiveness and vitality, and the positive impacts of partnerships between universities and organizations. Mr. Corbo will share his vision on the global challenges and future prospects for university education and research, and will explain how UQAM creates and mobilizes knowledge in collaboration with governments, socio-economic organizations, and companies.
The speech will be delivered in French.
