Kids will enjoy an exclusive Toys"R"Us 'first to play' event held at the CN Tower to celebrate the launch of Skylanders SWAP Force

TORONTO, Oct. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Skylanders^TM, one of the world's most successful video game franchises¹, is partnering with Toys"R"Us, Canada to bring Skylands to life, high in the sky at the CN Tower!

On Thursday, October 10, more than fifty lucky young portal masters will have the chance to experience an event like no other and play the game before it's available in stores. This larger than life experience, complete with an elevator ride to 1,136 feet above ground and activities like Pop Fizz's Potions Lab and the Chompie Bomb Toss, will fully immerse kids into the Skylands world.

Skylanders SWAP Force is part of the award-winning, $1.5 billion Skylanders franchise² which seamlessly bridges physical and virtual worlds across multiple platforms.  In this new game, kids can mix and match their favourite SWAP Force^TM characters into more than 250 possible combinations*.

What:	More than 50 Toronto kids will play Skylanders SWAP Force on Microsoft XBOX's and participate in Skylanders SWAP Force-themed activities such as Jump As High As the Sky, Swap To Win, Sharks out of Water, a Portal of Power^TM Photo Fun Station, a Treasure Hunt and more!
