today held an important nomination assembly, during which
Cindy Duncan
McMillan was selected to represent the PLC(Q) in the riding of Pontiac in the next federal general election.
In the presence of hundreds of Liberal supporters, the Honourable
Denis Coderre
, Member of Parliament for Bourassa and the Liberal leader's
Quebec
Lieutenant officially confirmed the now-unanimous choice made by party members. Indeed, both
Mr. Fergus
and
Mr. Lafontaine
declared they were rallying behind the successful candidate and intended to campaign by his-her side towards celebrating a Liberal win in Pontiac.
"This bodes very well in view of the next federal election. The population of Pontiac now knows it can count on a representative and a team that are highly motivated to defend its interests as
