Exploration update on Lac Sairs 'Rare Earth Elements' property in Quebec

ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, Sept. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Rouyn-Noranda, Canada , September 16, 2009 . Fieldex Exploration Inc. (FLX: TSXV and F7E: Frankfurt ) has completed the visual reassessment of the 10 drill holes (2,406 metres of drill core) on the company's Lac Sairs property located 100 kilometres northeast of North Bay (Ontario) within northwestern Quebec near the Quebec-Ontario border.

In regards of the high grade rare earth elements (REE) assay results obtained on the property (see August 28th,2009 News Release), over 725 metres of drill core is currently being sawed and will be sent to the laboratories in the coming days for REE assays.

Moreover, a major radiometric anomaly has been identified on the north side of the property with several identified REE high grade showings at the border of the company's property (see map http://www.fieldexexploration.com/properties/detail-8.html). An exploration program on this radiometric anomaly is in preparation and will be executed in the coming weeks.

About the Lac Sairs property

The property occurs within the Kipawa basin in Proterozoic Grenville Province. The basin comprised of metamorphosed and folded sedimentary sequences that have been intruded by composite intrusive bodies. The most important intrusive rocks on the property an alkaline intrusive complex, which is also folded along with the sedimentary host rock.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Fieldex Exploration has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Assay samples are taken from drill core sawed in half with one half sent to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Analyses are either performed by Techni-Lab S.G.B. Abitibi inc. in Sainte-Germaine Boulé, Quebec , or by Laboratoire Expert Inc. in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec , both accredited laboratories.

Qualified Person

The Lac Sairs' work program is carried out under the supervision of Robert Sansfaçon, geologist and qualified person as per National Instrument 43-101.
