Media Alert - LOTTO 6/49 draw worth an estimated $21 million!

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - Tonight's LOTTO 6/49 draw is for a jackpot estimated at $21 million! Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers until 9 p.m.

Ontarians continue to win often, and win big with LOTTO 6/49 - like Gunter Dwojakowski of Elliot Lake - who claimed $3.6 million from the August 26, 2009 draw. Since its launch in June 1982 , Ontario players have won more than $8.8 billion in prizes, including 1,163 jackpot wins.

Consumers are reminded that lottery retailers are not allowed to validate a ticket unless the customer has signed it. Signature boxes located on the front of all on-line lottery tickets, such as LOTTO 6/49, make it easier for customers to remember to sign their tickets at the time of purchase.
