IT'S REVIVAL TIME IN CANADA! CELEBRATE JOEY'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY AND WIN
$25,000 CASH
Celebrating Joey's 25-year anniversary can mean $25,000 to a worthy community cause or project.
CALGARY, Sept. 13 /CNW/ - During September and October, eligible Canadian residents can nominate any project or idea that will revive their Canadian community for a chance to win a $25,000 cash infusion. Joey's Community Revival Project is presented by Joey's Seafood Restaurants in celebration of its 25th Anniversary.
"We want to celebrate our 25th year by giving back to the people in the towns and cities that have supported us and contributed to Joey's success. Reviving a Canadian community is a great way to show our appreciation and to make a difference in a meaningful way," says Joey's Founder Joe Klassen.
Over the past 10 years Joey's has given nearly one million dollars to charity. "Our Community Revival Project is the first time we've invited Canadians to tell us where to designate our financial support. We strongly believe in giving back but this time, people can truly mobilize their communities to improve, renovate or financially support a local initiative. I can also imagine everyone having a lot of fun putting their application together," he adds.
The first step is to IMAGINE a project that could help revive a community, group, facility or charity and have a lasting benefit to others. Next, get the nominee's permission, prepare a short YouTube-type video, write a short story about why your project should win $25,000 cash and take a photo or two. Nominations will be received until midnight October 31st.
Then GET OUT THE VOTE! The winners of the Joey's Community Revival Project will vote online between November 1 and November 30. The project with the most votes wins $25,000 and the chance to revive a Canadian community.
