Montreal Inaugurates its First LEED-certified Home/
MONTREAL, Sept. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Habitat for Humanity Montreal, a non-profit organization that builds affordable homes in partnership with low-income families, invites media representatives to the inauguration of its most recent project, a duplex built according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards.
LEED, a certification program recognized around the world, encourages sustainable construction practices. Habitat for Humanity Montreal adopted LEED standards to demonstrate that ecological houses can also be affordable houses.
