CNN Hero Dr. Rick Hodes to speak at Concordia University
Will deliver AbitibiBowater Lecture,"This is a Soul: From sickness to healing in Africa," as part of Homecoming 2010 activities
MONTREAL, Sept. 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Concordia University is pleased to welcome Dr. Rick Hodes on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Henry F. Hall Bldg., room H-110, 1455 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W., Montreal.
Dr. Hodes will deliver the AbitibiBowater Lecture called "This is a Soul: From sickness to healing in Africa," a free public event that is part of Concordia University's Homecoming 2010 activities. Dr. Hodes is a physician working in Ethiopia for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. In 2007, he was selected as a "CNN Hero" in the Championing Children category.

The AbitibiBowater Lecture Series was established in 1985 at Concordia by Canadian pulp and paper company Consolidated-Bathurst as a showcase for lectures on important topics. Previous lecturers have included Simone Veil, David Suzuki, Mordecai Richler and Lieutenant-General the Honourable Roméo Dallaire.
