MEDIA ADVISORY - Ontario students launch new website to streamline advocacy
for accessible higher education and to promote student-run services
TORONTO, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario has launched a newly designed and user-friendly website to advocate for accessible post-secondary education and student-run services. As the largest provincial chapter of Canada's oldest and largest student organisation, the CFS-Ontario brings college and university students together to lobby government and coordinate cost-saving programmes.
The English and French websites, www.cfsontario.ca and www.fceeontario.ca, are comprehensive resources for information about the work of the student movement. The site features new interactive media tools, video and photo links from campaigns, reports and events organised by students across Ontario.
The Federation's research documents, government submissions and a guide for useful research sources are also available as resources for students, coalition partners and interested individuals. Students looking for help with financial assistance, tenancy and employment will also find useful information on the website.
The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario unites more than 300,000 college and university students studying at public post-secondary institutions across the province.
