Media advisory - ICAO High-level Conference on Aviation Security
MONTREAL, Sept. 11, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - More than 700 Ministers and other senior officials representing States, international organizations and law enforcement agencies are meeting at ICAO Headquarters in Montréal from 12-14 September for a special High-level Conference on Aviation Security.
This event will be the first meeting of security officials since the adoption of the more comprehensive aviation security framework post-9/11. Among other topics, participants will be focusing on the wider adoption of cargo and supply-chain security measures, as well as the implementation of more globally-coordinated and sustainable programmes that minimize industry and traveller inconvenience. Agreement will also be sought on new risk-based aviation security approaches, employing increased data sharing and collaboration by State and global agencies.
