Media/ Photo Advisory - When rubber hits the river: New site at Evergreen Brick Works designed by winners of Ontario Tire Stewardship Student Design Challenge
TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - A river-themed winning design made of recycled tire products will be officially opened to the public at Evergreen Brick Works, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the winning landscape design of the inaugural Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) Student Design Challenge.
Last Fall, Ontario Tire Stewardship, with the support of Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA), challenged design students from across Ontario to use products made from recycled tires for a new ecological landscape feature to be incorporated into the green space at Toronto's Evergreen Brick Works.
Media and members of the community are invited to the official opening of the site.
