Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - RBC Olympian Christian Redmann to make donation to CAN Fund
TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - RBC Olympian and 2011 Canadian Beach Volleyball Champion Christian Redmann is celebrating Canada's success in London by donating $5,000 to CAN Fund, a not for profit organization devoted solely to Canadian athletes. The donation will be made at the CAN Fund Gold, Silver & Bronze Celebration on September 25, surrounded by many of Canada's Olympic and Paralympic athletes including London 2012 medalists Benoit Huot, Rosie McLennan, Mark Oldershaw, Melissa Tancredi and Summer Mortimer.
As part of the RBC Olympians Program in 2012, each athlete was given $5,000 to donate to a charity of their choice. Christian joins the "Athletes Supporting Athletes" movement CAN Fund is building. The Fund is a unique organization that connects Canadians directly to the athletic journey and success of athletes. Donations go directly to both able-bodied and Paralympic athletes so they can afford proper nutrition, coaching, equipment and travel to competitions and training camps. For the past 10 years CAN Fund has been helping great talent become world class. To learn more visit www.MyCANFund.com.
