Pre-order. Pay. Pick-up.
TORONTO, June 29, 2016 /CNW/ - The Beer Store announced today a faster way to get your beer at Beer Store locations with its new Beer Xpress service, launching in 25 pilot stores across Ontario.
Beer Xpress will allow customers to pre-order beer from their computers or smartphones, which will then be reserved in-store for purchase by the Beer Xpress customer at a participating Beer Store location. New Beer Xpress stations have been installed in each pilot store, giving the Beer Xpress customer the ability to quickly pay for and pick up their order upon arrival.
Shoppers will also have the ability to browse the selection of brands available at each participating pilot store.
"We're delighted to offer a digital solution that will enhance the overall customer experience. We have introduced our mobile application and in-store touch screens (Pricing Information Centres) in recent years and Beer Xpress is the latest digital innovation for customers to enjoy," said Ted Moroz, President of the Beer Store. "Today's Beer Store offers modern and exciting experiences – we have 25 Ontario-based brewer owners all committed to improving the shopping experience every day. We intend to learn from these pilot stores so we can improve the experience and offer this service in more stores across the province."
Beer Xpress, a pre-order, pay and pick-up service will be initially offered in 25 pilot stores from Windsor to Ottawa and Toronto to Collingwood.
Once the customer has placed their pre-order online (via www.thebeerstore.ca or Beer Store app), it will be available in the selected participating store within 30 minutes for purchase and pick-up. All purchases will be subject to the Beer Store's award-winning ID25 responsible sale program.
