TORONTO, May 2, 2014 /CNW/ - As Canada's largest sushi company, Bento is continuing to lead the way in food innovation and Associate Engagement. Bento hosted its third annual Iron Chef competition yesterday, May 1st, at The Chef's House, where six contestants competed for the title of Iron Chef, and for the honour of launching their winning roll in market in September. Bento's Iron Chef Competition demonstrates the company's commitment to its 1,300 innovative chefs across North America, and to finding the next best sushi recipe for its loyal consumers.
Toronto's top chefs and food industry leaders, Chef John Placko (Modern Culinary Academy), Chef Steve McGoey (Corporate Chef, Keg Restaurants Ltd.), Kristen Eppich (Recipe Developer and Food Stylist) and Chef Kyle Deming (Teaching Chef, George Brown) presided over the judge's panel, tasting and scoring the six winning recipes.
There were over 120 submissions, but six Chefs stood out, impressing the judges with their unique and flavourful recipes.

2st Place: Ai Ming Xu
3rd Place: Haruo Oikawa
