CF Sherway Gardens Continues to Enhance the Shopping Experience with Fine Art and Luxury Retail

CF commissioned - The Miracle - will further beautify and refine the shopping experience.

TORONTO, Dec. 8, 2015 /CNW/ - CF Sherway Gardens is upping the ante on the luxury shopping experience today with the unveiling of its newly commissioned fine art piece, The Miracle. Created especially for CF Sherway Gardens by renowned Canadian artist John McEwen, The Miracle depicts two horses, each formed by a skin of steel stars and other shapes for a striking interpretation of the equine form. The two horses differ drastically in size, and were conceived to represent the relationship between a parent and child. The Miracle is the second phase of a series of installations that will be added to the Centre's already remarkable shopping landscape and is sure to delight customers throughout the holiday season and beyond.

The Miracle's inclusion in a prominent location at CF Sherway Gardens is the shopping centre's latest step towards marrying its best-in-class retail experience available with a unique cultural experience that is second-to-none in the Canadian retail world.

The tie between high fashion and fine art has been a key component of the industry for decades, with a variety of designers and artists collaborating to develop unique collections.  The move to work with McEwen on a commissioned piece for CF Sherway Gardens was a natural step in perfecting the luxury experience that is currently available at the Centre.  The Miracle's debut in the space is in step with the imminent arrival of many world-class premium retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue. The Miracle will be located in front of the Saks Fifth Avenue  store, which will open on the on east side of the shopping centre in  the Spring of 2016.

Luxury retail meets fine art and custom lighting design at CF Sherway Gardens

In addition to The Miracle, customers can also see the installation of fifteen beautiful Halo Chandeliers that hang from the high vaults of the new Gourmet Fare, CF Sherway Gardens' state-of-the-art eatery.  The chandeliers were commissioned from Roll & Hill, a high-end lighting design house whose design studio and workshop is in Brooklyn, New York. Roll & Hill is known for its unique customization process; assembling each piece by hand and designing feature lighting to the exact needs of their customers.  The Halo series showcased at CF Sherway Gardens is a graceful use of energy-efficient LED technology and illumination.

The focus on luxury deepens with the impressive roster of premium retailers slated to open in CF Sherway Gardens; highlights include: Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom set to open in 2016 and 2017 along with JOEY SHERWAY and De Beers opening in January 2016. Each opening is focused on elevating CF Sherway Gardens' growing list of high fashion and fine dining options, as well as heightening the overall experience; a perfect equation to suit the high expectations of today's shopper.
