CIM Chartered Managers Canada launches new designation and brand
TORONTO, June 6, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Institute of Management is now operating under the CIM Chartered Managers Canada brand. It is part of a rebrand for the federally chartered not-for-profit, founded in 1942. The rebrand comes with a fresh new look and website. It corresponds with the official unveiling of the new Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation representing registered members in all 10 provinces and 3 territories across Canada.
CIM Chartered Managers Canada and its new designation is all about making sure management education and professional experience meets the needs of Canadian businesses. Managers are a vital part of any business. "One class of professional worker permeates all industry sectors: the manager. This person is entrusted to provide leadership, business skills and technical knowledge that helps an organization achieve its goals and satisfy stakeholders," said Dr. Matthew Jelavic, C.Mgr., National President and CEO of CIM Chartered Managers Canada. "No other single profession embraces responsibility on so many levels and across the breadth of an organization; leading and taking responsibility for the actions of others."
The C.Mgr. designation ensures individuals have an edge in business that helps them move their organizations forward with professionalism and competence. "Integrity, ethics, knowledge and productivity are essential to the growth of Canadian businesses and the wider economy," added Jelavic. "Chartered Managers provide the glue that can bring together the innovative capabilities of organizations into one cohesive unit, from the front-line manager to the CEO."
The Chartered Manager Competency Framework clearly establishes the holistic requirements to add value to Canadian industry. It is inclusive to allow managers of all backgrounds to join the profession. It adds a level of trust so Canadian companies have an added level of assurance Chartered Managers have met the rigorous requirements to lead and manage, minimizing human resources costs and bringing a higher level of ethics and professionalism.
