TORONTO, March 10, 2016 /CNW/ - CLT International announced today that it has acquired the Canadian rights to Salon Selectives hair care products. This latest acquisition completes CLT's holding of North American trademark rights for Salon Selectives. This newest acquisition is in addition to their growing rights of the Daily Defense and Airall trademarks.
CLT International's acquisition of the Canadian rights to Salon Selectives advances its mission to deliver high demand brand name Health & Beauty and Household products to retail outlets globally, at below market prices. This acquisition will put CLT International in a position to provide retailers with solutions at very affordable prices. The combination of U.S. and Canadian Salon Selectives rights will increase the value CLT delivers to its customers.
Salon Selectives, first made famous by Helene Curtis in 1987, then acquired by Unilever in 1996, before the U.S. rights were then acquired by CLT International in 2010. CLT revived the brand inclusive of shampoos, conditioners and styling aids. While enhancing the brand, CLT also restored the iconic green apple scent that women know and love..."like you just stepped out of a salon"TM.
"We are extremely excited about adding the Canadian rights of this popular brand to our portfolio of personal and hair care products", said Jack Wilkinson, Principal of Salon Selectives. "This allows us to provide world class brands to an even broader reach, in which we can offer an affordably priced solution to consumers' needs with a premium quality product."
As consumers continue to hit the "reset" button on discretionary spending and change the way they evaluate product purchases, Salon Selectives provides them with reassurance of a trusted brand at a very affordable price.
