TORONTO, Dec. 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Fans of Family Channel's hit series The Next Step will jeté for joy as the network announced today it's expanding its sold out national tour, The Next Step Live on Stage, with 15 additional performances. After an overwhelming response from Canadian families, the highly-anticipated stage show starring eight members of the Temple Street Productions tween drama will now feature more than 40 shows in 28 cities nationwide during its eight week run. An interactive dance experience for kids and families of all ages, The Next Step Live on Stage will have fans on their feet as The Next Step dancers perform an array of recognizable solos and duets along with newly-choreographed group numbers designed to showcase their undeniable talent. The eight week national tour is presented by Tomodachi Life, Nerf Rebelle, DohVinci and Nintendo 3DS.
The Next Step, produced by Temple Street Productions, follows the lives of a group of elite dancers competing for the national dance title. New episodes of the series air Fridays at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Family. Tonight's new episode sees past and present members of the studio face off in the men's solo round at the national competition.
