FWE Brings E-Series to Toronto, Educating and Mentoring Women Entrepreneurs
One-of-a-kind event with a proven formula for the advancement of women entrepreneurs
TORONTO, March 22, 2016 /CNW/ - The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) announced today that they will host their E-Series Program for women entrepreneurs in Toronto, opening the doors to women in the GTA and across Ontario. On Monday, May 30, 2016 in Toronto, FWE will run a one-day immerse educational program for women who want to take their company to the next level. The program will also pair participants with a mentor for 1:1 continued support for 12 months. Applications are now open until April 8, 2016.
Based on the long running 3-day E-Series program that runs annually in Vancouver, E-Series Toronto is a 1-day comprehensive educational program designed to provide women entrepreneurs with the deep expertise and business connections they need to move their business – whether it's a startup or million dollar company – ahead.
Since 2003, women entrepreneurs who have participated in E-Series have seen an average annualized revenue growth of over 40%. Moreover, 90% of all participating companies since 2003 remain in business, which is well above the national average of 50% (post year-5).
"The education we offer through E-Series is unique in Canada, and we are thrilled to be bringing the program to Toronto. We first came to Toronto last May to meet with over 120 women entrepreneurs at our EXCITE event with Christine Day at the Thompson Hotel. The community encouraged us to come back and offer the E-Series program, and that's exactly why we're here," said Lisa Niemetscheck, General Manager of FWE. "I encourage all women, whether you're from Toronto or Timmins, to apply to the program. It's a game changer for businesses, regardless of size or industry."
Referred to by participants as a "mini MBA", it has been attended by notable women such as Cybele Negris, Co-Founder and President of Webnames.ca, Lara Kozan, Co-Founder of YYoga, and business partners Heather White and Lori Joyce, of Cupcakes by Heather & Lori.
The application deadline for E-Series Toronto is Friday, April 8, 2016. E-Series Toronto will run on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the offices of CPA, located at 277 Wellington St., Toronto.
