Heritage Minister asked about the recent dismissal of a CRTC Commissioner and racism at the CRTC
MONTREAL, Sept. 12, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Community Media Advocacy Centre and Urban Alliance on Race Relations wrote to the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, concerning Raj Shoan, former CRTC Commissioner for Ontario, who was dismissed in June by an Order of Council for reasons not publicly disclosed. CMAC and UARR question the context of Shoan's dismissal in light of allegations of systemic and overt racism within the Commission.
