The sale will feature nineteenth-century furniture, Quebec paintings from the 50s and 60s, an important Japanese erotic stamp collection, an antique roman glass collection of items dating from the first to the third century A.D., as well as a set of GOUDJI jewellery created in 1941.
The auction's most significant piece is surely the full-scale stainless steel "Charging Bull", an original piece by sculptor Arturo Di Modica dated 2006 and also known as "Wall Street Bull". The work is a version of the "Wall Street Bull" that has held court in Bowling Green Park, in the heart of New York's financial district, since 1987. The piece has become a powerful symbol of luck and prosperity, not to mention a tourist attraction. To get to know the work better, please visit http://chargingbull.com/.
