CALGARY, Nov. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - The Alberta Prosperity Fund today announced that Ms. Kellyanne Conway, Campaign Manager and senior advisor to the transition team for US President-elect Donald Trump, will be making a visit to Alberta in advance of the US Presidential inauguration.
Ms. Conway, President and CEO of the polling company inc./WomenTrend, remains the most publicly visible member of the Trump transition team, commenting regularly on FOX News, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, HBO and numerous radio and print stories.
"Ms. Conway is a very influential member of US President-elect Donald Trump's transition team and someone that I personally admire as a woman in politics," said Heather Forsyth, Chair of the Alberta Prosperity Fund, "her visit to Alberta at this time should send a strong signal to Canadians on the importance of this province to the United States."
During her stay, Ms. Conway will be jetting to Fort McMurray for an oil sands tour and will hold talks with Alberta business leaders at a private fundraising dinner hosted by the Alberta Prosperity Fund on January 12th. The Alberta Prosperity Fund sees the visit as a call to action for Alberta industry whose competitiveness and market access have been restricted by excessive regulation and public protests.
"This visit by such an influential member of a US administration should stand as a call to action for all Alberta industry" said Barry McNamar, Founder and President of Alberta Prosperity Fund, "I hope that Ms. Conway receives an enthusiastic welcome here in Alberta and can return to the US with an informed attitude towards Canadian export products."
This will be Conway's first stop in Canada following the successful election of Donald Trump as US President. Trump's decisive victory on November 8, 2016 made Conway the first woman in history to run a GOP presidential election and to win a US Presidential race.
