Kia Canada Inc. Reports 5,841 Sales In October

• Kia Canada October sales down 2.9 per cent versus 2015
• Award winning Sorento and Sportage achieved best October YTD sales in Kia Canada history

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Kia Canada Inc. reported 5,841 vehicles sold in the month of October, slightly down 2.9 per cent compared to 2015.  Calendar year-to-date sales are up 3.7 per cent versus the same period last year with 61,922 total sales reported.

The month of October marked Kia Canada's best year-to-date sales results for Sportage and Sorento carlines. Sorento has achieved 13,514 total sales year-to-date, up 9.9 per cent year over year. With a 72 per cent increase over the same period last year, Sportage achieved 9,522 sales year-to-date. The Sportage also achieved the best October sales on record totaling 1,018 units sold, representing a 63.4 per cent increase versus 2015.  

The month of October also witnessed strong sales for the Soul carline, which includes the award winning Soul EV, with sales totaling 1,232 units.  The Forte compact line-up also experienced strong October results with 946 units sold, achieving a 8.1 per cent increase versus October sales in 2015.
