Media Advisory - Funding Announcement of New Ontario Project to Address Indigenous Maternal and Infant Mortality
TORONTO, May 19, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Media are invited to the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (NCCT) for the launch of an innovative new project, Kind Faces, Sharing Places: An Action Research Project for Indigenous Families During and After Pregnancy.
The project, led by a team of Indigenous researchers and community partners, and supported by funding from Merck, through its Merck for Mothers program, draws on a proven Indigenous model of care demonstrated to reduce child apprehension and improve access to quality of health services to Indigenous mothers and their families.
