Media Advisory - Hill+Knowlton's cannabis regulatory experts available for comment at Vancouver Lift Expo 2018

VANCOUVER, Jan. 11, 2018 /CNW/ - Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) experts Ivan Ross Vrana, Omar Khan and Elliott Gauthier will be available this Friday through Sunday at the Vancouver Lift Expo for comment on Cannabis and the Canadian regulatory environment. They are available to outline what the industry can expect as we approach legalization. They will also be formally presenting insights in the Expo programming.

Who they are:

Ivan Ross Vrana - Ivan Ross is widely recognized as an industry expert in the field of medical cannabis and the emerging regime of legalized cannabis. His experience in this sector dates back to his time with Health Canada when he helped develop the Government of Canada's position regarding the use, production, distribution and regulation of cannabis for medical purposes. Since that time, he has consulted on investor relations, communications, regulatory review, strategic partnerships, identification and outreach related to market opportunities in other countries such as the United States and Australia and government affairs work at the federal, provincial and municipal levels.

Omar Khan - Omar served as Chief of Staff to the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care where he participated in Ontario government meetings with the federal task force on cannabis legalization. He has also served as Chief of Staff to Ontario's Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment and was a Senior Advisor to an Ontario Attorney General. Omar is considered a leading Canadian expert in developing economic sector strategies and has been providing advice to several cannabis clients looking to take advantage of government economic supports across Canada. 

Elliott Gauthier - Elliott is a leader of innovative mix-mode and cross-disciplined research methods. As Senior vice-president and national director of the Research+Analytics practice at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Elliott delivers deep insights into audiences by combining social intelligence analyses, quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies, and big data techniques. An accomplished methodologist with expertise in recruitment techniques and segmentation models, Elliott oversees hundreds of research assignments each year at H+K including a recent study into what Canadians think about the impending cannabis legalization.
