Media Advisory - Information and Privacy Commissioner visiting Kingston to address key access and privacy issues

TORONTO, May 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner, Brian Beamish, will be discussing emerging trends in access to information and privacy at Queen's University this Wednesday. The event is part of the Commissioner's ongoing Reaching Out to Ontario program which visits cities across the province twice a year.  

The Commissioner's presentation will be followed by two concurrent panel sessions from the organization's leadership team. One panel will discuss the changing nature of access to government-held information and recent guidance offered by the IPC. The other panel will examine the many challenges of protecting personal health information in electronic environments. The event is free of charge and both the public and those in the public sector are welcome to attend.
