Media Advisory - Nucor Groundbreaking Ceremony on First Vulcraft Canada Production Facility
ANCASTER, ON, June 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Nucor Corporation executives and teammates will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for its new steel products manufacturing facility, Vulcraft Canada, Inc. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m. at the building site in Ancaster, Ontario.
The new Vulcraft facility will employ approximately 50 teammates, and will manufacture joists, joist girders, and steel decking for the Central and Eastern Canadian markets. Product fabrication is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Among those scheduled to participate are Member of Parliament Filomena Tassi; Tom Batterbee, General Manager of Vulcraft Canada, Inc. and Vulcraft New York, Inc.; Mike Fernie, Operations Manager of Vulcraft Canada, Inc.; Vulcraft customers and teammates, and other provincial and local elected officials.
