CALGARY, April 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Financial literacy has become even more critical due to current economic hardship in Alberta. Not-for-profit organization, Money Mentors, believes that it should be easy to find ways to educate yourself on good financial management and success. The Alberta-based debt and credit counselling organization is working to ensure this is possible by enhancing their offerings digitally through online and social means.
Money Mentors has offices in Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Calgary and Edmonton. The organization helps families and individuals recover from financial crisis and move forward with services such as credit counseling, money coaching, retirement planning, and community financial literacy.
This February marked the launch of their new website and financial management app, MoneyTip$. Both offer information on Money Mentors and how you can pay off your debt with ease. Money Mentors' core value is Albertans serving Albertans. With that objective in mind, the website and app offer detailed information on how you can best prepare for a financial emergency, or how you can battle back against your debts. On the Money Mentors website, the Resource Centre is filled with financial calculators and information sheets. It is one of the many great tools and tips offered on the site. Get more information on services offered, read stories of past clients success, and register for upcoming free financial fitness classes to become financially literate. The new website design allows users to more readily find the information they require in order to improve their financial future.
MoneyTip$ is the latest money management app released by Money Mentors. It can be downloaded on both Android and iOS, and is a great way to set financial goals and educate yourself with a daily money tip. Download the MoneyTip$ app on Apple iTunes or Google Play today.
The not-for-profits' services, along with the Orderly Payment of Debts program, have been very successful – with clients returning more that $125 million to their creditors in their first 15 years. While thrilled with the success, Money Mentors knows there are many more Albertans who need help managing their everyday finances. This need inspired the new design and features on MoneyMentors.ca, as well as the relatable features within their new financial management app, MoneyTip$.
Money Mentors is the only Alberta-based, not-for-profit credit counselling agency. Through a number of services, we help families and individuals recover from financial crisis and move forward. From credit counselling and money coaching to retirement planning and community financial literacy, we are creating a healthier financial future for the entire province.
