YidLife Crisis will emcee this Gala. Jamie Elman and Eli Batalion, entertainers and educators hailing from Montreal, hatched the world's first Yiddish sitcom for the web in 2014. Their unique friendship has spawned an irreverent labour of love by paying tribute to the Yiddish language, culture and comedic traditions. Their passion, embraced by both the Jewish and non-Jewish worlds, and 'comedy peacekeeping', keeps them working with celebrities and academics alike around the globe.
Funds raised at the Gala will support ongoing research and scholarship at Tel Aviv University, Israel's largest and most comprehensive institution of higher learning, and an industry leader in achievements and innovations.
