CSE: ACB
VANCOUVER, July 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Aurora Cannabis Inc. (CSE: ACB) (FRANKFURT: 21P) (WKN: A1C4WM) (OTCQB: ACBFF) ("Aurora" or the "Company") is pleased to provide the following operational update.
Patient Registration Increasing Rapidly
On June 30, 2016, Aurora surpassed 4,500 active registered patients, less than six months after the Company's first sale of product. This is believed to be the fastest rate of patient registration after commencement of commercial operations achieved by any Licensed Producer in Canada. In addition, Aurora's customer retention rate remains well in excess of 90 per cent.
Product Sales Increase 45% in One Month
Sales of dried cannabis increased across the full product line, with total weight of product sold in June 2016 reaching 100,000 grams, versus 69,000 grams sold in May, 2016.
Launch of Same-Day Delivery in Edmonton
Effective July 5, 2016, medical cannabis patients in the Edmonton area who are registered with Aurora can now order products Monday to Friday by 10:00 am Mountain Time (MT), and have their order delivered by or before 8:00 pm MT the same day. This service, which comes at no additional cost, will be offered to customers in Edmonton and surrounding municipalities, including Nisku, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove and Fort Saskatchewan.
Aurora, which was the first Licensed Producer to launch same-day delivery of medical cannabis, is now the first company to offer this service in two cities. As announced on May 24, 2016, the Company began same-day product delivery in Calgary and surrounding communities. Extension of same-day order delivery to Red Deer is anticipated within the next few weeks.
Production Approaching Full Capacity
All 10 flower (growing) rooms at Aurora's advanced and heavily automated production facility are now in use, with sequenced harvests scheduled for the largest number of cultivars the Company has had in simultaneous production. The facility is expected to be producing at full capacity by the end of July, 2016.
"We are absolutely delighted by how smoothly our production is scaling up to full capacity, and by the consistent increase in demand for Aurora's medical cannabis," said Terry Booth, CEO. "Yields are excellent, product quality is outstanding, and our customer care team is maintaining a remarkably high level of client satisfaction. Across all functions, we are meeting the Aurora Standard, setting the pace in our industry, and executing successfully on our business strategy."
