Out of the way Heads Up! There's a new app taking over the country

Brothers from down under give Canada an early birthday present.

TORONTO, June 28, 2016 /CNW/ - The newest trivia app to hit the market, QuizJam™, has officially launched in Canada. The year before Canada's big 150th anniversary, our Aussie brothers have challenged us to the first-ever multiplayer country-wide Canadian trivia tournament. The catch? There can only be one winner.

What is the name of the Canadian artist who created Superman? What percentage of the world's maple syrup does Canada produce? The quiz will dive into Canada's favourite foods, sports, local geography and landmarks, including trivia about our beloved celebrities like Justin Bieber, Pamela Anderson and David Suzuki. This trivia platform will encourage all genders, nationalities and ages to hop on board for a race to the top. And in this case, the top is a $3,000 prize to go towards the winner's charity of choice.

"Canadians have always been our brothers.  When looking at where to launch the app next, Canada was a natural choice.  Our goal was to create something unique to Canada, something that all Canadians can indulge in to celebrate Canada Day," says Joel Steel, the brainchild behind QuizJam™. The app platform enables an unlimited number of players to participate in any given tournament at one time. Starting midnight on June 30th, from east to west, we will see Canadians battle it out to see who will be crowned the reigning champion.
