Reform Party to run full slate in Alberta election

RED DEER, AB, March 20, 2015 /CNW/ - Reform Party Leader Randy Thorsteinson announced, today, that the Reform Party of Alberta will run candidates in all 87 electoral divisions in the next, Alberta General Election.

Said Randy Thorsteinson, "I am pleased to announce that the Reform Party intends to run candidates in all 87 of Alberta's electoral divisions in the next election."

The Reform Party of Alberta is recruiting candidates who believe in democratic accountability, responsible public spending, lower taxes, and policies that serve families, seniors and children.

"Like so many Albertans, I am very concerned about the lack of concern demonstrated by the old-line Alberta PC Party for responsible public spending, lower taxes, and democratic accountability. Sadly, the Wildrose floor-crossers failed the test on democratic accountability. What's left of Wildrose seems determined to offend Alberta voters who care about families, seniors and children," added Thorsteinson.

Since Wildrose's difficulties in the aftermath of its disappointing performance in four by-elections, last fall, Alberta no longer has an effective opposition to hold Premier Prentice and his old-line Alberta PC Party to account. The Reform Party is known for standing up for the common sense principles that most Albertans want to see defended and promoted. The Reform Party is offering grassroots Albertans a choice in the next Alberta election and an alternative to the old-line Alberta PCs and the damaged Wildrose Party.
