TORONTO, March 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Rob Howes has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Business Development of Cycura Inc., by the Board of Directors. In this role, Mr. Howes will focus on sales, growth strategy, and strategic alliances for North America.
"The Board and I are delighted that Rob Howes is joining our firm. We like his enthusiasm, high energy, and especially his extraordinary track record of exceeding expectations on planned growth," said Stephen Arbib, Board Member.
"I am excited to join Cycura's team. And I am equally excited by Cycura's corporate culture of talented people, proactive client care, cutting edge R&D research, and can-do attitude. It's like Silicon Valley in a box," said Rob Howes. He brings a decade of sales strategy and execution in various high tech companies, including four years at The Herjavec Group.
"Without constant vigilance, backed up by a trusted cyber security partner, organizations are vulnerable to attack from amateur and professional hackers, industrial spies, and state-sponsored threat actors. Corporations, educational institutions, governments, and even the CIA and the FBI have all been hacked," said Mr. Arbib.
Cycura researches and develops proprietary software tools for forensics, cryptography, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and exploit development. In addition, recruiting top talent is an ongoing priority; as great as software tools are, they never completely replace human intelligence and insight to "connect the dots" of what really happened in a cyber security breach.
Cycura serves organizations with mission-critical data protection needs as well as companies with particularly high intellectual property (IP) value including: software and technology companies; startups; airports; defense & homeland security; financial institutions; power generation and transmission; oil & gas facilities; refineries & the petrochemical industry; seaports; telecommunications; and water utilities.
Cycura has seven services: Security Audits; Cyber Forensics; Incident Response; Malware Analysis; Reverse Engineering; Continuous Monitoring and Managed Services; and Security Training Services.
Cycura employs more than 75 people in Germany, Poland, Argentina, in the UK, the USA and in its global headquarters in Toronto, with its Research & Development headquartered in Israel.
