Traction on Demand to Pay for Employee's Tesla Model 3 Deposits
In support of environmentally sustainable technology, Burnaby-based tech firm, Traction on Demand, will cover the $1000 deposits for employees wishing to purchase a Tesla Model 3.
BURNABY, BC, April 5, 2016 /CNW/ - On March 31st, Tesla Motors CEO and Product Architect Elon Musk announced the release of the Tesla Model 3, a 100% electric vehicle with a starting price of $35,000USD. With mass production and distribution set to begin in late 2017, Tesla has started taking deposit payments for consumers wishing to purchase a Model 3.
As a means of demonstrating their commitment to environmentally sustainable technology, Burnaby-based tech company, Traction on Demand, has announced they will be covering the cost of the deposits for employees wishing to purchase a Model 3 as a part of their Go Electric program.
"Tesla has proven that sustainable transportation is here. Their automotive program has turned the industry on its side in every way. They have created automobiles that are more efficient, that are multiples safer and that actually improves over time. While Tesla vehicles have been on the road for 8 years, the Model 3 brings this technology to the masses," said Greg Malpass, Founder and CEO of Traction. "As a Software-as-a -Service provider in BC that has specific policies to reduce air travel, Traction meets stringent environmental standards. This program is a proactive move to put our dollars into action and to invest in the single most important thing there is, our planet. We hope to inspire others to do the same. "
Malpass sees many parallels between the business-focused technologies Traction implements, like Salesforce.com, and Tesla's Model 3. "We believe that with the proliferation of cloud-based software, every company has the opportunity to leverage amazing technology to do things faster and better; we've even worked with Tesla themselves to improve the efficiency of their internal systems. The Tesla Model 3 does the same thing for consumers by giving them the most innovative driving technology at a reasonable price and inciting them to make change happen."
Malpass believes a large number of Traction's almost 200-person staff will take him up on the offer. "I'm just so excited by the prospect of driving into work and seeing a parking lot full of Teslas."
By Sunday April 3rd, Tesla Motors had received over 276,000 pre-orders for the Model 3.
Traction's Go Electric program also supports the purchase of any other fully electric vehicle. To learn more, reach out to the media contact below or view the full release at www.tractionondemand.com/blog.
