Driver receives top prize for a year following his season win
OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 27, 2016 /CNW/ - Now in its sixth year of competition, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama is still going strong. The three classes of Porsche GT3 Cup cars provided fans and drivers alike with great racing and epic Championship battles that were contested to the very end at the final weekend event for 2016 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Daniel Morad emerged as the Platinum Cup winner of the 2016 Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama.
In addition to his trophy, Platinum Cup champion Daniel Morad took home a new Porsche 911 Carrera, which he will have the pleasure of driving for one year, courtesy of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd.

Daniel Morad first joined the series in 2015 and soon found his home with Porsche Centre Oakville / Alegra Motorsports. Competition was fierce this season with Scott Hargrove with OpenRoad Racing Porsche finishing just five points behind in the standings, 205 to 200. Series rookie, Zacharie Robichon, made a quick impression in the field and finished in third with 185 points.
The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama is one of three official Development Series sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama produces intense, exciting competition for semi-professional drivers alongside some of the most promising career-minded GT drivers in one of the world's most successful and iconic race cars, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and on classic Canadian road courses such as Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and street courses like the Toronto Indy.
