TORONTO | MONTREAL, Feb. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - UPS (NYSE: UPS) will be lending major support to the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and its Canadian Screen Awards, it was announced today.
"We are excited to join the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television as a supporter of the Canadian Screen Awards. Our relationship brings together two great brands rich in culture and tradition in Canada," says Mark Tabor, UPS Canada Vice-President, Marketing. "Our relationship with the Academy offers UPS the opportunity to promote our global logistics expertise across the landscape of film, television and digital media, an industry that shares our passion for creativity in design, high-quality performance and consistent drive for excellence."
"We are thrilled to have UPS as a sponsor of the Academy and the CSAs," says Jennifer Stewart, Academy Director, Marketing & Development. "They are logistic experts and we look forward to working with them on this year's events, as well as offering Academy members benefits through the UPS Association Program," she adds.
UPS will become the Academy's primary transportation solutions provider by managing the logistical aspects of the Canadian Screen Awards. This includes the shipping of documents and equipment between the Academy's Toronto and Montreal offices. The sponsorship will also help the Academy circulate classified materials to award jurors and deliver marketing collateral to promoters across the country and internationally. Moreover, award winners who cannot attend the Canadian Screen Awards Galas can expect to receive their coveted statuettes delivered straight to their doors thanks to UPS.
